Contact SupportWhen should I use a Europass CV?
Use it for EU institutions, public sector roles, research positions, Erasmus and study applications, or whenever an employer asks for it. For most private-sector jobs, a national format is often better received.
What do the CEFR levels mean?
A1 and A2 are basic, B1 and B2 are independent, and C1 and C2 are proficient. Europass lets you rate listening, reading, speaking and writing separately.
Is a photo required on a Europass CV?
No. The photo is optional, and many applicants leave it out.
